Report a stolen piece of sports or outdoor gear
Surfboards, golf clubs, snow gear and camping kit are high-value, portable and distinctive. Brand, model and unique markings make a stolen setup recognisable when it's re-listed.
The identifier that gets it back: Serial / unique marking
Record brand, model and size, plus any serial, shaper's mark or custom detail. Photograph distinctive wear — it's often the clearest ID.
Types we watch
- Surf & SUP
- Golf
- Snow (ski & board)
- Camping & hiking
- Fishing
- Fitness & gym
How theft and resale play out
- Full sets (golf bags, ski setups) are broken up and sold piece by piece.
- Shaper's marks and custom detailing identify a board better than any label.
- Seasonal gear is often listed the moment the season turns.
If yours is already gone
- Report it to police and keep the event/reference number.
- Register the piece of sports or outdoor gear on Theftsight (or mark it stolen) with the serial / unique marking and photos.
- Share the record with your insurer — they can work the same candidate queue.
- If a listing matches, export the proof pack — never confront a seller alone.

Put your piece of sports or outdoor gear under watch
Register it in two minutes — private by default. If it's stolen, Gumtree, Facebook Marketplace and eBay are scanned against it, and police and insurers on the network can see the case.
